The Rev. Dr. Nicholas G. Louh was born in Jacksonville, Florida, where he was raised as a member of St. John the Divine Greek Orthodox Church, the same church he has served as a senior pastor since 2007. Dr. Louh is an accomplished scholar and beloved priest known in both local and global communities as a devoted pastor, motivational speaker, and compassionate champion for those in need, and a passionate advocate for interfaith dialogue and social justice.

Dr. Louh has earned respect at the highest levels of his tradition as a gifted scholar, professor, and theologian. As a hands-on, hard-working pastor, he has a heart for guiding people through the difficulties of everyday life, and travels throughout the country leading retreats on understanding and living God’s purpose. He is also the foremost regional priest in his Greek Orthodox Metropolis. Dr. Louh graduated from the University of North Florida in 1996 with a Bachelor’s degree in marketing and business administration. He later attended Holy Cross Theological Seminary, earning both a Master’s of Divinity (1999) and a Master’s of Theology (2000). In 2003, he completed a Doctorate of Ministry in pastoral counseling at the Gordon Conwell Theological School in Boston.

Dr. Louh has built loyal followings across Northeast Florida through popular daily segments on sports radio and television, as well as through “The God Squad,” a local public radio program featuring clergy members of all faiths in discussions of ethical and moral issues. His daily inspirational messages on social media have attracted thousands of followers from all over the world. He is Chaplain of the Jacksonville Sharks of the Arena Football League and an Adjunct Professor of World Religions at Florida State College of Jacksonville, which has more than 30,000 students. He also sits on the executive board of  the St. Photios Greek Orthodox National Shrine, which has over 100,000 visitors each year.

Dr. Louh is known for his outstanding sermons that translate complex Biblical concepts into language and images that are easy to understand and implement. His sermons are broadcast online with hundreds of people downloading them each week. Dr. Louh also cohosts a bi-weekly weekly radio show, "Healthy Minds, Healthy Souls, Uncovering the Potential For Your Life," with his wife on Ancient Faith Radio, which provides high quality, 24-hour internet-based Orthodox radio in 139 countries. Dr. Louh and his wife Roxanne have two children, George and Gabriella.
